Travel Nurse (RN) in Cardiac for a 13-week assignment in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Provide advanced cardiac intensive care for postoperative and high-acuity patients while earning competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive cardiac intensive care for postoperative and high-acuity patients, utilizing advanced invasive line monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans for cardiovascular surgical patients and those with complex diagnoses.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, medication administration, and invasive procedures within EPIC electronic health records.
• Assist with invasive procedures such as Swan-Ganz catheter insertions, chest tube management, and pacemaker troubleshooting, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
• Educate patients and families on postoperative care, procedure expectations, and recovery processes related to cardiac surgeries and vascular interventions.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin or eligibility for licensure reciprocity.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 3 years ICU experience, including at least 1 year in CVICU.
• Ability to work night shifts.
• Experience handling high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong clinical skills and effective communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• CCRN certification.
