Missile Defense Agency Property Management And Supply Chain Operations Logistics Specialist
Provides professional-level property management analysis, compliance oversight, and logistics program support for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Property Management and Supply Chain Operations (PMSCO) program. The role supports the full Government property life cycle, including property accountability, inventory, transportation, audit readiness, discrepancy resolution, disposition, and regulatory compliance across CONUS and OCONUS locations. This is primarily an analytical and advisory role with limited incidental hands-on property activities.
As required by our governmental client, this position requires an active SECRET clearance to be considered or the ability to attain one.
A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Logistics Specialist: Although this is not yet an approved position, we are accepting applications for this future and anticipated need. The applicable salary range will be posted promptly upon award of the contract and once funding for the position has been determined. No offer will be extended prior to posting the applicable salary range.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Logistics Specialist Responsibilities Include:
- Analyze Government property records across systems including IMS, BMC Helix, ELMS, the DoD IUID Registry, and PIEE. Identify discrepancies, determine root causes, and direct corrective actions.
- Maintain, reconcile, interpret, and validate complex property and logistics records and source documentation.
- Support DCMA, OIG, OSHA, environmental, and other Government audits, reviews, and surveillance activities. Compile evidence, research issues, validate data, prepare responses, and implement corrective action plans.
- Serve as an analytical point of contact for MDA Accountable Property Officers, CORs, DCMA property administrators, program customers, and partner contractors.
- Provide technical guidance and analytical direction to warehouse operations personnel.
- Develop recommendations for Government stakeholders on property management, inventory, storage, transportation, disposal, facilities, and logistics-process improvements.
- Plan and manage physical inventories, inventory-by-exception activities, reconciliation programs, sampling methods, variance analyses, and record adjustments.
- Coordinate transportation and shipment requirements, including schedules, carriers, shipping documentation, movement of Government property, and cost-effective transportation methods.
- Support FLIPL actions and LTDD reporting. Prepare supporting data and documentation and update property systems based on approved relief-of-responsibility actions.
- Evaluate excess, obsolete, and end-of-life property. Recommend reutilization, transfer, warranty return, demilitarization, or disposal based on regulatory requirements, mission impact, and cost.
- Oversee approved property disposition actions through DLA ETIDS, PIEE, and required documents, including DD Form 1150, DD Form 1348-1A, and DLA Form 2500.
- Interpret and apply FAR 52.245-1, DoD Instruction 5000.64, FAR/DFARS requirements, DCMA guidance, MDA property directives, and related regulations.
- Develop and improve property-management procedures, internal controls, Quality Control Plan measures, performance metrics, and process improvements.
- Plan and coordinate complex or high-priority logistics actions, including cost/schedule tradeoff analysis and required Government approvals.
- Assess IUID marking, Logistics Product Data, and property identification data against MIL-STD-130 and program requirements; resolve data anomalies and coordinate remediation.
- Conduct site, warehouse, and storage-facility assessments for property, safety, environmental, and security compliance. Document findings and prescribe corrective actions.
- Perform limited hands-on property verification, inspections, or material handling when needed to support analyses and investigations.
- Travel approximately 1530%, including CONUS and OCONUS locations, as mission needs require.
Logistics Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Active Secret security clearance, or ability to obtain and maintain one.
- Valid state driver's license.
- At least 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant Government property, logistics, or supply chain experience.
- Demonstrated ability to independently analyze property or logistics data, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and develop recommendations for management or Government decision-makers.
- Working knowledge of Government property life-cycle management, including receipt, recordkeeping, physical inventory, reporting, relief of stewardship responsibility, and disposition.
- Experience with Government property accountability or logistics systems and the ability to extract, reconcile, and analyze data across multiple systems.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, audit responses, investigation documentation, and contract deliverables.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Common Access Card (CAC), or ability to obtain one through a federal investigation.
- Ability to pass drug screening and a federal background check.
- Ability to work in warehouse, receiving, shipping, storage, and administrative environments.
- Must pass pre-employment requirements of Cherokee Federal.
