On-the-Job Trainer

Mission

SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to provide On-The-Job Training to new, entry-level, or transferred employees in the unit/or department equipment. Instructions and to assist in the development and delivery of other training if necessary.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Primary responsibility will be to oversee and implement the Employee Training Qualification Program for Operations employees. This includes training and validation of trainees with respect to their performance against established training objectives and recommendation of additional skill requirements as needed.
• Assist in developing Standard Work Instructions, checklists, and visual aids.
• Conduct, OJT training and certification. Follow up on a regular, planned schedule to answer questions and verify proficiency.
• Conduct cross training and annual re-qualification as required by the Training Qualification Program. Support employees who have questions or need additional assistance in understanding their job responsibilities.
• During non-training or non-production periods, the OJT trainer may be called upon to perform in other capacities such as back up for Driver within the transportation department
• Perform all training in full compliance with all company, state and/or federal safety and environmental regulations.
• Notify designated personnel of any irregularities in materials, processes, or equipment.
• Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP’s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements related to product and service quality, environmental standards, food safety, and health and safety regulations.
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment by preventing work-related injuries and illnesses, eliminating hazards, and reducing health and safety risks.
• Compliance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)/General manufacturing practices (GMP) guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by unit management.

Profile

EDUCATION

• High school diploma and applicable technical knowledge required. Mechanical or trade school a plus.
• Two years' experience in airline or aviation related industry is as a Driver role is required. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulations regarding compliance training requirements.
• Ability to multi-task, deal with employees with diverse backgrounds and good problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word.
• Basic math skills.
• Customer service capabilities.
• Light typing skills.
• Ability to work indoors in normal office setting for duration of shift.
• Ability to answer phones and receive pertinent information.
• Ability to obtain SIDA BADGE
• Previous experience as a Driver.
• Clean motor vehicle record for the past three years.
