POSITION SUMMARY As a CDL Class A Driver you will play a crucial role in our logistics and transportation operations. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting products to their designated destinations while upholding our company's high standards for professionalism, safety, and customer service. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Safe Operation: Operate and maintain commercial vehicles, primarily Class A trucks, in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety protocols. Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload product, ensuring it is properly secured and protected during transit. Route Planning: Plan and execute routes efficiently, considering traffic conditions, weather, and other factors that may impact delivery schedules. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including bills of lading, mileage logs, and inspection reports. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks, reporting any issues to the maintenance team promptly. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Compliance: Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including hours of service and weight restrictions. Communication: Maintain clear communication with dispatch and logistics teams, providing updates on the status of deliveries and any unexpected delays. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Valid CDL Class A license. Experience with short haul driving preferred. Clean driving record with a proven track record of safety required. Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience. Knowledge of and adherence to DOT regulations. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unexpected situations on the road. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks. High school diploma or equivalent. Basic math skills for verifying order accuracy.
