Pickleball Marketing Manager

PING, Inc. is seeking a Pickleball Marketing Manager that will be responsible for leading the marketing and communication efforts for PING’s Pickleball business by developing, implementing, and monitoring plans aligned with company objectives. This role translates strategy into action, partners cross-functionally, and contributes market insight to support sustainable revenue and margin growth. Executing both internal and external messaging, managing digital campaigns, public relations, storytelling, content creation, and events to drive engagement and ensure brand consistency. This position requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area, relocation assistance will be provided. Produce and collaborate on compelling content—including video, photography, and written assets—that highlight PING pickleball products in action and communicate performance benefits. Activate sponsorships with industry organizations, leagues, and events through on-site management, signage, and promotional execution. Plan and coordinate company events, sales meetings, and trade shows. Analyze industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitive activity to refine marketing strategies and maximize return on investment. Cultivate strong relationships with media outlets and key industry partners. Develop email marketing campaigns in conjunction with Digital Marketing team. Produce social media content and manage social media platforms, including frequent postings to engage and build new audience. Collaborate with in-house website team on content and merchandising/promotional needs. Identify, develop, and manage relationships with brand ambassadors, professional athletes, and influencers to increase brand awareness and credibility. Partner with sales teams to create in-store marketing programs, merchandising strategies, and promotional materials for retail partners. Collaborate closely with PING’s Manager of Business Development and the Marketing team to align initiatives and leverage shared opportunities. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required. Build and lead the Pickleball Marketing team, including hiring, onboarding, and direct management of team members. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a properly accredited college or university, plus a minimum six years’ directly related experience in the sporting goods industry; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information accurately and tactfully. Excellent decision making and problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proven ability to effectively manage, focus, and lead cross-disciplinary meetings and problem solving teams, and client/vendor meetings. Strong passion for sports with a deep understanding of sports culture and industry trends. Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and negotiation capabilities. Proven knowledge of digital marketing platforms, tools, and performance metrics. Ability to successfully manage multiple campaigns, priorities, and deadlines. Proven ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints. Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to PING’s management team that provides leadership and direction. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint). Expert knowledge of the Pickleball market and interest in continuous learning of the business, the sporting goods industry and products sold by PING and their competitors.
