Job Summary:
The Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (BMT) located in Austin, Texas, is seeking a registered nurse for a 13-week contract position. The role involves providing specialized care for patients undergoing chemotherapy, cell transplants, and biotherapy treatments. The qualified candidate will be responsible for administering chemotherapeutic and immunotherapy treatments, adhering to safety protocols, and working within a multidisciplinary team on night shifts.

Job Details:

• Location: Austin, TX
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Position Type: Contract, 13 weeks
• Required Qualifications:
  • Valid nursing license
  • Oncology experience
  • Chemotherapy immunotherapy certification through ONS/ONCC with 15.25 contact hours
  • Must have TCT (Trauma Certified Technician) experience
  • 1 year of nursing experience in a related setting
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bone marrow transplant (BMT) experience
  • CAR-T cell therapy experience
• Additional Information:
  • No call required
  • Unit profile includes 24 beds, with a team of 51 staff members including RNs, CNAs, and PCTs
  • Experience in chemotherapy or biotherapy treatments, blood product administration, and cell transplants is preferred
  • Dress code requires navy scrubs; masks are mandatory in patient care areas
