Cocktail Server -Library Bar

The Ned’s Club DC is seeking an exceptional Cocktail Server for our Library Bar, a energetic and dynamic social space within our private members’ club. The Cocktail Server will be responsible for elevating the guest experience in the Library Bar during peak hours and late night hours. You will act as the primary point of contact for members and guests in the space, delivering swift, intuitive, and polished service that reflects the highest standards of Ned’s Club. What’s the role? Cocktail Server Reporting into the Restaurant management team and as the friendly face of the member experience you will: Deliver attentive, anticipatory service to members and guests across Library, The Drawing Room, and Cocktail Terrace Execute efficient and polished cocktail service in both refined lounge and high-energy environments Prepare and maintain your section before, during, and after service to ensure smooth flow Guide guests through cocktail offerings, upsell premium selections, and provide knowledgeable recommendations Accurately enter orders using the Micros POS system Maintain presentation standards and ambiance specific to each venue Support team members and bar staff in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and readiness Respond to member and guest needs with urgency, professionalism, and discretion Maintain awareness of house events, performances, and offerings to enhance the guest experience What you can bring to the role: Minimum 1–2 years of cocktail or upscale service experience Experience in high-volume, upscale lounge, restaurant, nightlife, or outdoor terrace environments preferred Familiarity with Micros POS systems Strong communication and time management skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining service standards Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences Knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and wine is a strong advantage A desire to learn and grow through ongoing training and development opportunitiesComfortable working across multiple service environments, including outdoor service on the Cocktail Terrace Able to consistently lift a minimum of 35 pounds Ability to stand for long periods of time throughout shift Availability to work evening and late-night hours including weekends, holidays and special events What The Ned can give you: Hourly rate of up to $12.00/hour plus gratuity Medical, Dental, Vision, Company Paid Life, STD, LTD Insurance Complimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant when the Club opens Exciting learning and development programs to help progress your career Exclusive rates with our hotels for stays and dining, plus friends and family rates Paid time off 401k matching Employee assistance program - advice and support Reward and recognition initiatives At The Ned, we don't just celebrate our diversity, we challenge ourselves to do even better.
