July 6, 2026 POSITION: SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST (11 month) – 2026-2027 LOCATION: To be determined POSITION SUMMARY: The Speech Language Pathologist will provide speech language services to students with speech and language disabilities. REPORTS TO : Director and Supervisor(s) of Special Education

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

A Master’s Degree in Speech Language A Maryland License in Speech Language

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS

Knowledge of speech and language disabilities and appropriate therapy strategies. Demonstrated diagnostic skills in the area of speech and language development. Knowledge of and ability to administer speech and language assessment instruments. Ability to write evaluation reports and Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Knowledge of Special Education and the IEP process. Knowledge of the Medicaid billing process. Knowledge of educational and psychological assessments. Knowledge of the general education curriculum. Understanding of and ability to maintain rapport with persons from diverse, cultural, ethnic, and racial groups. Demonstrated interpersonal skills when working with diverse groups (parents, other professionals, students, teachers, administrators, community agency representatives). Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Calvert County Public Schools may find appropriate and acceptable. LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION

Current Maryland Licensure in Speech Language Pathology

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Eleven (11) month position and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience applied to the current Calvert County Public Schools’ salary schedule for teachers. All employees are encouraged to have automatic payroll deposit.

EVALUATION

Performance will be evaluated in accordance with the policy on evaluation as established by the Calvert County Public Schools.
