About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: NIHSS Assessment Experience working in an Emergency Room Description: The Emergency Department has 30 beds and a variety of staff. The day shift is staffed with Charge Nurses, RNs, Paramedics, PCTs, and NEs. The night shift is also staffed with Charge Nurses, RNs, Paramedics, PCTs, and NEs. Patient ratios in the department are 1:4. Equipment used includes Pyxis, GE Monitors, Zoll defibrillators, Welch Allyn, and Dynamap vital signs machines. The Electronic Medical Record system is Meditech. IV starts, EKGs, trauma, cardiac, and stroke procedures are typically performed. The ideal candidate is motivated, easy-going, friendly, and a team player. The unit follows self-scheduling with four weekend shifts per month, two of which must be consecutive. The facility is known for its supportive culture and management team. The area has a rich history and offers various recreational activities and events.
