Responsibilities As a Material Expediter you will manage inventory and document control, adapt to changing priorities, and perform tasks that maintain traceability and accuracy of parts. Verifying inventory for correct quantity, condition, paperwork, and trace. Scanning paperwork into On Base and updating lots in Corridor. Recording dimensions and weight for large items and adding them to Corridor. Photographing items and attaching pictures to lots for the sales team. Consolidating and organizing inventory. Assigning bin locations to new inventory and placing items on shelves. Following up with customers on outstanding cores. Verifying cost on parts before invoicing. Receiving unexpected parts. Assisting Shipping and Receiving as needed. Verifying purchase orders and cores for accuracy and preparing parts for shipment. Researching vendor invoices in On Base and resolving discrepancies. Cutting and modifying crates with small handheld saws and drills. Performing any other job‑related duties as assigned by supervisor or management. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Prior purchasing or inventory control experience is preferred. Aviation‑specific experience in purchasing parts is ideal but not required. Proficiency with mainframe and PC databases, internet, and numerical calculations. Essential Skills Self‑motivated team player able to work in a fast‑paced environment with deadlines. Strong organization, attention‑to‑detail, written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Requirements Valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or passport (ideal but not mandatory). Reliable transportation to work. Ability to lift 50 lbs, walk, bend, use stairs, and sit at a desk for extended periods. Professional conduct and prioritization of workload. Compensation & Benefits The hourly rate ranges from $29 to $35, with potential for shift differentials, semi‑annual discretionary bonuses, 401(k) match, HSA, and FSA options.
