Travel Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) – Operating Room (Robotics)
Location: New York
Pay: $2,400 – $2,700 per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)
Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday | 36 or 48 hours per week

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) with strong DaVinci robotic surgery experience to join a high-acuity Operating Room team. This is a dual-role position requiring both RNFA and circulating/scrub experience. The RNFA will collaborate closely with surgeons and the perioperative team to ensure safe and effective surgical procedures and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons during operative procedures as a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA)

• Perform circulating and scrub duties when not functioning in the RNFA role

• Provide intraoperative support in robotic-assisted surgeries

• Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety

• Collaborate with the surgical team for optimal outcomes

• Participate in evening call rotation and rotating holiday coverage (no weekends required)

Required Experience:
DaVinci robotic experience is required in the following:

• Urology

• Gynecology

• Colorectal

• Surgical Oncology (e.g., Whipple procedures, gastrectomies, hernias)

• Thoracic

• General Surgery (e.g., gallbladder, appendectomy)

Requirements:

• Active New York RN License (required)

• Completion of an accredited RNFA program

• CNOR Certification (required)

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience (Level 1 trauma preferred)

• Experience in both scrub and circulating roles

• Robotic surgery experience required

Certifications:

• BLS (AHA required)

• ACLS (AHA preferred)

• CNOR (required)
