Rebar Machine Service is a family-owned, manufacturing business that has been committed to quality craftsmanship and innovation for 40 years. We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Welder to join our production team. Our ideal candidate has 3-5 years of welding experience and a working knowledge of standard welding tools and techniques.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interpret drawings and plans to understand project scope and specifications
• Produce templates and other work aids
• Utilize industry tools and equipment, including powered saws, hand shears, chipping knives, portable grinders, hand files and scrapers
• Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles •
• Set up components for welding according to specifications(e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
• Weld parts in flat, vertical, and/or overhead positions
• Conduct tests to check weld quality
• Maintain proper equipment; repair when needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3-5 years of experience as a welder(welding will mostly be 1/16 dual shield MIG)
• Read blueprints and drawings; take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Must be able to follow directions, work hard, and pay attention to detail
• Must have steel-toe boots and welding helmet
