Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist – Albany, New York Fusion Medical Staffing-Cardio is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment at a facility in Albany, New York starting 05/24/2026. Job Details Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 per week (12‑hour night shifts) Employment Type: Travel Required Qualifications One year recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC Valid respiratory therapy license in New York Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications ACLS or PALS certification (AHA/ARC) Other relevant certifications and licenses Essential Work Functions Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples Treat patients through various methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications Set up and monitor equipment to ensure the patient is receiving the correct amount of oxygen at the correct rate Observe and record patient status and progress Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care Educate patients and/or family members on how to properly take medication and use equipment Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities – Must be able to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, and bend Interpersonal Skills – Must work effectively with personnel to present a positive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills – Must grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move during procedures and/or equipment use Mental Requirements – Must cope with frequent public contact and maintain focus under pressure, work independently when supervised Sensory – Must possess visual acuity and effective communication skills Benefits Highly competitive travel pay Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, first‑day coverage PTO after 1,560 hours Life and short‑term disability 401(k) matching Recruiter support 24/7 Licensure and CEU reimbursement Other standard benefits *Fusion is an EOE/E-Verify Employer.
