Job Summary
We are looking for individuals to join our client’s team as Registered Dietitian. This role will monitor patients for food-drug interactions, provide education, document food-drug interactions in the education section, and consult with physicians regarding appropriate diet modifications.
Job Description
- Conduct nutrition assessments, evaluate food-drug interactions, provide nutrition counseling and education, recommend dietary modifications, monitor patient progress, maintain accurate documentation, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Provide patient-focused care with strong communication and interpersonal skills; independently manage nutritional care plans, educate patients effectively, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Screen and assess patients in an accurate and timely manner based on level of care; determine patients' nutritional needs and status and provide appropriate follow-up care.
- Interview patients and/or their families to obtain information regarding food habits, dietary preferences, and nutritional history.
- Review and interpret pertinent laboratory, physical, medical, and social information in the medical record as it relates to nutrition care.
- Provide nutrition education and document patients' diets, diet instructions, and understanding of dietary recommendations in the education section of the medical record.
- Modify patient menus as needed based on nutritional needs and prescribed diets.
Skills Required
- Minimum one (1) year of Dietitian experience
- Experience conducting nutrition assessments and providing patient education.
Preferred:
- Two (2) or more years of Dietitian experience.
- Experience in Acute Care, Women's Health, or Pediatric settings.
- Bilingual Spanish-speaking
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; graduate of an accredited college/university with a degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition.
- Active Registered Dietitian (CDR) credential with Primary Source Verification.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree
- AHA BLS certification
Additional Requirements
- Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
- Flexibility required, as 2–3 days per week may be scheduled from 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM based on facility needs.
Pay Rate
- $48- $56 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
