Job Title: Multi-craft Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Multi-craft Maintenance Technician, where you'll be responsible for diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the efficiency and safety of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on motors, gearboxes, pumps, belts, and bearings.
• Change out motors and repair or replace gearboxes.
• Follow a preventative maintenance schedule to ensure operational efficiency.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, wires, and cabling.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with AC/DC systems and VFDs.
• Ability to work with 480 volts and use a multimeter.
• Understanding of Siemens systems and SAP.
• Skill in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

Work Environment

Work in a facility that purchases recycled raw materials to create finished products like plastic pellets and chips. The existing facility is not climate controlled, and while it may not be the most modern, the new building will feature state-of-the-art equipment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Athens, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
