MillwrightCrown Beverage Packaging is currently seeking for a qualified Millwright in our industrial manufacturing facility located in Sugar Land, TX.This journey-level position will be responsible for:Troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repair of all equipment.Designing, fabrication and welding of guarding equipment in steel, stainless and aluminum.Fabrication and installation of plumbing (plastic, threaded and welded).Installing and modifying complex machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.Reading blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.Repairs manufacturing equipment, such as conveyors. pumps, piping, and other mechanical equipment.Performs simple to intermediate equipment and pipe installations.Compiles with all environmental, health, safety, and housekeeping programs.Conducts inventory of spare parts.Assists with and learns troubleshooting of production and facilities equipment breakdowns.Ensures safety precautions and proper methods of preventative and Predictive Maintenance on various types of equipment.Keeps work area neat, clean, and free of debris.Performs other related duties as required.Follows all plant safety rules & wears required PPE at all times.Ensures safe operation practices.Job RequirementsCompetencies:1. Must have a great understanding of angles and great skill with squares and other tools and use advanced measuring tools that use lasers.2. Must have thorough knowledge of all types of hand tools including fabrication tools.3. Must also be able to dismantle and reassemble any production equipment that needs to be replaced or repaired.4. Must have a thorough understanding of mass conveying, and experience with a broad range related mats and drives.5. Must have the ability to read and comprehend complex instructional books and manuals.6. Must have experience working on defective parts of machine, calibrate and/or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.7. Must have the ability to connect power unit to machines or steam piping to equipment, and test unit to evaluate its mechanical operation.8. Must have experience constructing foundations for machines, using related hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel to perform this task.Job Requirements *1. Minimum of five (5) years of recent (within 3-years) experience as a journey level millwright in a manufacturing operation2. Must have a high school diploma or GED3. Welding, fabrication, general machine assembly and machine alignment experience, TIG, MIG and/or STICK welding will be a plus.4. Must have experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems5. Forklift and scissors lift experience highly preferred.6. Must have excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skill /experience7. Successful candidates must be willing to work any shift to include 12-hour shift, evenings or days and work overtime.8. Must have the willingness and ability to work at heights as well as climbing stairs9. Must possess ability to work in an environment containing extreme heat or cold10.
