Responsibilities Ability to read drawing plans and operate Press Brake control panel. Press Brakes are precision equipment, being off by millimeters could mean critical errors. Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches. Adjust ram and back gauge locations per process control instructions and blueprints. Check height, depth, and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges, and other precision‑measuring instruments. Configuring equipment and calibrating gauge settings, recognizing conditions of dies, loading material onto the equipment, feeding material through die, and positioning and removing parts from die. Keep a record of number of pieces made and routine equipment maintenance performed. Read work schedule to ascertain production information, such as size, type, and quantity to be processed.
