Birmingham‑area schools are seeking 1–4 onsite Occupational Therapists for immediate school‑based openings. These roles support K–12 students with diverse needs, focusing on functional skills, fine‑motor development, sensory regulation, and classroom participation. Candidates must be fully licensed in Alabama and comfortable working across multiple school environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Evaluations — Complete assessments, reevaluations, and eligibility reports.
- Direct & Consultative Services — Provide therapy sessions, classroom strategies, and accommodations.
- IEP Participation — Attend meetings, develop goals, and maintain compliance.
- Skill Development — Support fine motor, sensory processing, visual‑motor, and functional school‑based skills.
- Collaboration — Work with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Active Alabama Occupational Therapy license
- School‑based experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable supporting students with varying disabilities and needs
- Reliable transportation for onsite school travel
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
