The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials throughout the warehouse and production areas while ensuring inventory accuracy, timely shipments, and safe material handling practices. This role requires forklift operation, shipping and receiving experience, inventory control, and coordination with production teams to support customer orders and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull and stage materials for production orders and customer shipments.
• Operate standard forklifts, high bay forklifts, and pallet jacks safely.
• Load and unload trucks while following safety and quality standards.
• Receive incoming materials and verify quantities against documentation.
• Stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Maintain accurate inventory and material records.
• Support shipping and receiving activities.
• Prepare and process shipments using UPS, FedEx, and WorldShip.
• Coordinate material availability with planners and manufacturing teams.
• Maintain Bills of Lading (BOLs) and shipping documentation.
• Follow DOT regulations, hazardous waste procedures, and spill response protocols.
• Support overall warehouse organization and inventory management.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 1+ year of warehouse experience.
• 1+ year of forklift operation experience.
• Shipping and receiving experience.
• Experience with inventory control and material handling.
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using UPS, FedEx, or WorldShip.
• Knowledge of Bills of Lading (BOLs).
• Manufacturing warehouse experience.
• Familiarity with DOT and hazardous material requirements.
• Experience working in a large warehouse environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minnetonka, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
