Toolmaker / Manual Machinist Location: Oxford, CT Are you an experienced Toolmaker or Manual Machinist who takes pride in producing high-quality precision parts? We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional to join a growing manufacturing team. Responsibilities Set up and operate manual lathes, Bridgeport mills, and Protrak milling machines. Manufacture tooling, fixtures, and precision-machined components. Machine parts to close tolerances while maintaining high quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and indicators. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Work independently while collaborating with engineering and production teams to meet project goals. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of Toolmaker or Manual Machinist experience. Experience operating: Manual lathes Bridgeport mills Protrak milling machines Ability to machine precision parts to tight tolerances. Strong knowledge of machining practices, tooling, and inspection methods. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn new equipment and manufacturing processes. Experience building tools and fixtures. Prototype or short-run production experience. Casting experience is a plus but not required. Strong commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to pass a preemployment screening What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience.
