Assistant Site Manager

About the Team DashMart is a local‑fulfillment center owned and operated by DoorDash, offering customers household essentials and other items to their doorsteps with speed, reliability, and quality. About the Role In this role you will work within a 5–15k sq ft distribution center, assist in leading the local warehouse operating team, and in some locations, prepare food in a light‑prep kitchen. You will help the Site Manager ensure high quality for our customers. Responsibilities Lead: Demonstrate compassion and commitment to inclusivity while leading a team of hourly Operations Associates and Shift Leads. Hire, coach and develop high‑performing team members, build a safety‑first culture, serve as a change agent, and manage onsite escalations. Operate: Drive results for your team by effective scheduling, inventory management, and best‑practice deployment. Engage cross‑functional partners as needed. Strategize: Analyze data and make strategic recommendations for resource allocation, workflow, warehouse organization, and engagement of cross‑functional partners. Lead process improvement projects. Delight: Coach and empower your team to provide a high‑quality customer experience, focusing on order accuracy and fulfillment speed. Work cross‑functionally with central teams to supply necessary tools and resources. Qualifications Proven leader with experience managing high‑performance teams of 5+ employees. Ownership mindset: able to take responsibility in a rapidly growing business and handle all shifts, including late‑night and weekend hours. Problem‑solving from first principles, resisting conventional thinking. Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change. Analytical: data‑first problem solver with experience using Excel or Google Sheets, including basic formulas and pivot tables. Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Operations, Warehouse Logistics, Customer Service, Retail Management, or Fulfillment. At least 1+ year of team‑management experience. Flexibility to support the site with scheduled late‑night and weekend hours. Compensation Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.
