Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Drafter and Estimator to join our growing engineering organization. This role is designed as the cornerstone of a future multi-person CAD and estimating team that will support project needs across multiple offices. The position begins with hands-on drafting and estimating responsibilities in the low-voltage security systems field and will evolve into a leadership role as the team scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and revise AutoCAD drawings including floor plans, device layouts, riser diagrams, and as-built documentation
• Develop cost estimates and project takeoffs using Excel and estimating tools
• Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure project alignment
• Maintain accurate drawing revisions and documentation throughout project lifecycles
• Contribute to the development and standardization of CAD and estimating workflows as the organization grows

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills; proficiency in Word and Outlook
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with low-voltage systems such as access control or security camera systems
• Experience with scheduling or project planning tools
• Educational or technical background in drafting, design, or electrical systems

Position Details

• Full-time, on-site role based in  Phoenix, Arizona
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Phoenix time)
• Hands-on role with structured mentorship, progressing into a team leadership position based on performance
