Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over the entire episode of care and provides comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
• Provide optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Ensure care coordination between other professionals as needed.
• Meet standards of quality as measured by unit/department age-specific competency standards.
• Engage families in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation efforts.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have 2+ years of Med/Surg/Tele experience.
• Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required.
• NV RN license required prior to start.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS.
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam, including identifying and measuring telemetry rhythms strips.
