JOB SUMMARY:
Greensboro College is seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-oriented enrollment professional to serve as Associate Director of Admissions.
Reporting directly to the Vice President for Enrollment, this position serves as a key member of the enrollment leadership team and plays a significant role in helping the College achieve its undergraduate enrollment goals through recruitment strategy, territory management, relationship building, and data-informed enrollment planning.
The Associate Director will focus primarily on enrollment growth and student recruitment while partnering closely with another Associate Director who oversees admissions operations, campus visit programs, event planning, and office management. This structure allows the successful candidate to maintain a strong focus on recruitment, enrollment strategy, and relationship development while working collaboratively to provide an exceptional experience for prospective students and families.
Greensboro College is looking for a team-oriented leader who can build meaningful relationships, leverage Slate CRM effectively, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing enrollment team.
STRATEGIC ENROLLMENT LEADERSHIP:
- Partner with the Vice President for Enrollment to develop and implement recruitment strategies that support institutional enrollment goals.
- Analyze recruitment and enrollment data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for growth.
- Monitor progress toward enrollment goals and recommend strategic adjustments when needed.
- Contribute to enrollment planning, forecasting, and reporting efforts.
- Represent the admissions office in campus-wide initiatives and collaborative projects as appropriate.
STUDENT RECRUITMENT & ENROLLMENT:
- Manage a recruitment territory and execute a comprehensive territory plan to meet application, admission, deposit, and enrollment goals.
- Recruit prospective students through high school visits, college fairs, virtual events, individual appointments, and campus visit programs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local high school counselors, community college partners, community organizations, and other key influencers.
- Counsel prospective students and families throughout the admissions and enrollment process.
- Review admissions applications and make admissions decisions in accordance with institutional policies.
- Work closely with athletic coaches to support the recruitment and enrollment of student-athletes.
- Assist in developing strategies to recruit and enroll transfer students.
SLATE CRM & ENROLLMENT OPERATIONS:
- Serve as an advanced user of Slate CRM and help maximize its effectiveness as a recruitment and enrollment management tool.
- Develop and execute communication campaigns, workflows, and recruitment initiatives within Slate.
- Utilize enrollment data and reporting tools to evaluate recruitment performance and inform decision-making.
- Support data integrity, reporting, and process improvement efforts within the admissions office.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness through CRM utilization and enrollment process enhancements.
COLLABORATION & LEADERSHIP:
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented culture within the admissions office.
- Assist in mentoring and supporting admissions counselors, student ambassadors, and other enrollment staff as needed.
- Work effectively with faculty, staff, coaches, alumni, and campus partners to advance enrollment goals.
- Support admissions events, open houses, admitted student programs, and other enrollment initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education admissions, enrollment management, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience using Slate CRM.
- Demonstrated success recruiting and enrolling students.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively during recruitment seasons.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience recruiting and enrolling transfer students.
- Experience working with athletic recruitment initiatives and collaborating with college coaches.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Experience developing communication plans and enrollment workflows within Slate.
- Experience meeting or exceeding enrollment goals in a higher education setting.
- Familiarity with recruitment in a private liberal arts college environment.
