Shipping Manager

Job Description Paint and coatings manufacturer seeks a full-time Shipping Manager. This is a working manager position with direct responsibility for all functions of the warehouse and the company's shipping and receiving department. This includes receiving raw materials and packaging supplies, warehousing all finished goods inventory, preparing accurate orders for timely shipment to customers and scheduling pickups with LTL freight companies. The Shipping Manager oversees a team of Shipping Clerks and reports directly to senior management. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with careful attention to detail; as well as the ability to plan ahead, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and delegate responsibility. Must have excellent communication skills, ability to problem solve and experience in inventory management. Other requirements include forklift experience, knowledge of shipping regulations and best practices, basic computer skills and ability to lift up to 60 lbs. We offer competitive hourly wages and benefits package. Work hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday.
