Job Summary:

The People Services Clerk supports the day-to-day administration of Payroll and Meal Break Compliance for the hospital and assists with departmental and organization-wide activities. This position requires an extremely detail orientated person who understands and abides by strict confidentiality standards and ability to become an expert on payroll systems and meal and break compliance.

How you'll contribute:

• Daily payroll administration, including bi-weekly payroll processing, meal and break compliance, collecting timesheets, editing time transactions and acting as initial contact for inquiries and issues related to payroll.
• Assisting setting up new employees in time clock and troubleshooting payroll issues.
• Preparing required meal and break compliance reports and owning ongoing meal and break compliance tracking and escalating any concerns and trends to leadership.
• Reviewing for accuracy and correcting timecards.
• Educating employees on payroll policies and procedures.
• Answering payroll inquiries and resolves all discrepancies as they arise.
• Organizing the maintenance of payroll department records, ensuring complete accuracy and confidentiality
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

• Associates Degree or the equivalent experience in related field
• Previous payroll experience preferred.
• Previous UKG experience preferred.
• Previous Meal and Break compliance experience preferred.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
