Production Associate

Job Details Job Location: Piqua, OH 45356 Job Purpose As a Production Associate, you are responsible for all job activities required to support production processes. These activities may include but are not limited to: Receiving, stacking, storing, shipping, and transferring of all material and supplies Banding of material off machines Material identification Inspecting for quality conformance Use of internal ERP system to receive and track use of material Essential Functions Regular and reliable attendance Learn, understand, and follow all plant safety rules, policies and procedures Follow all set-up and operational procedures to ensure accuracy and quality Run entry-level equipment and ensure all processes are completed per standard operating procedures Process, package and ship orders accurately Inspect products for defects and damages Examine outgoing shipments Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately Check, verify and fill customer invoices Perform clean-up activities in production areas as assigned. Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize plant procedures Other duties as assigned Performs other related duties as assigned. Working Conditions The position will be in steel slitting facility using machines, hand tools, and forklifts. The shop floor is not climate controlled, so at times it will be hot/cold. Proper PPE is required, including steel/composite toed shoes, arm guards, gloves, and safety glasses. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers. Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times. Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
