What You'll Do

As an Energetic Explorer’s Teacher, you will:

• Provide a safe, nurturing environment that encourages toddlers to explore and learn.
• Plan and implement play-based activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth, tailoring them to the unique needs and interests of each child.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a stimulating, engaging, and supportive environment that fosters creativity and curiosity.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with families, ensuring they feel informed and involved in their child's growth and development.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the children in your care, adhering to our high standards for hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in early childhood education, applying this knowledge to continuously improve your teaching practices.
• Partner with other educators to create a cohesive, supportive team environment that prioritizes the needs of the children and the success of the program.

Requirements

Our early care educators are expected to be

• able to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
• able to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
• dependable and able to maintain a consistent schedule.
• excited to participate in the growth and development of the early learners they encounter every day.
• warm, nurturing, and patient.
• able to work collaboratively with a team of educators and communicate effectively with families.
• committed to professional growth, best practices and play-based learning.

Nice To Haves

But Not Required

• Previous experience working with toddlers in a childcare, preschool, or nanny setting.
• Certification in early childhood education, such as CDA (Infant/Toddler), is preferred; willingness to pursue professional development is required.
