Position E-Commerce Clerk (Curbside) – 2501 Fairoaks Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95825 Job Summary The E‑Commerce Clerk’s role involves selecting and assembling products for customers’ online orders, prioritizing freshness and quality. The clerk processes payments, prepares orders for pickup, and facilitates the final handoff to the end customer. The aim is to deliver an efficient, positive customer‑service experience, fostering loyalty to online shopping. Responsibilities Process orders through the POS system Communicate with leadership regarding fulfillment challenges Communicate any substitutions or exceptions to customer orders Adhere to customer order promise times to meet demand Follow instructions diligently to fulfill orders accurately Handoff orders to end customers or stage for customer retrieval (in‑store pickup, curbside, or kiosk/locker staging) Meet productivity metrics and other fulfillment goals Maintain a clean work area, orderly, and free from safety hazards Stock supplies as needed Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies to Store Management Uphold customer satisfaction by providing a seamless shopping experience with a variety of fresh and clean products Follow all safety protocols, operating procedures, and standards for product freshness and quality, including food‑safety guidelines for handling, displaying, and storing food items Follow all established protocols and requirements for the handoff of regulated products Perform other duties as assigned Hiring pay range: $16.90 - $20.80 Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent customer service and communication (verbal and written) skills Ability to work with a sense of urgency and self‑motivation Capability to be proactive, initiative, enthusiastic, and flexible on the job Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently Strong team player with a willingness and desire to learn, work hard, and have fun Preferred: Any experience as a personal shopper or in a warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier.
