Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Surgical Technologist \n Discipline: Allied Health Professional \n Start Date: ASAP \n Duration: 9 weeks \n 36 hours per week \n Shift: 12 hours, days \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n Job Summary for Surgical Technologist / OR Tech (Operating Room) \n - Prepare and organize operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and surgical supplies. \n - Assist surgeons and surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during procedures. \n - Maintain strict sterile technique and monitor the sterile field throughout surgeries. \n - Perform and document accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments. \n - Support patient positioning, skin preparation, and draping for surgical procedures. \n - Prepare, label, and handle surgical specimens according to protocols. \n - Proactively anticipate the needs of surgeons and the surgical team. \n - Aid in operating room turnover, cleaning, and preparation for subsequent cases. \n - Inspect and assemble surgical instruments, ensuring proper function and readiness. \n - Manage inventory of surgical supplies and report shortages or equipment malfunctions. \n - Adhere to infection control, patient safety, OSHA, and facility guidelines. \n - Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia, and other healthcare personnel. \n - Assist in various types of surgeries, including general, orthopedic, neuro, and gynecological cases. \n - Respond effectively to urgent and emergency situations, ensuring patient safety and sterile technique. \n - Accurately document procedures and comply with hospital and departmental policies. \n Med Ninjas Job ID 15749.
