Role Description The Deputy District Attorney is a full-time, on-site role located in Englewood, CO. This position is responsible for reviewing and charging criminal cases, preparing and presenting cases in court at all stages, including arraignments, motions hearings, trials, and sentencings. Daily tasks include evaluating evidence, researching legal issues, drafting pleadings and motions, and engaging in plea negotiations when appropriate. The role involves regular collaboration with law enforcement agencies, victims, defense counsel, and court personnel to ensure cases are handled efficiently and ethically. The Deputy District Attorney also participates in community outreach and contributes to office policies and practices that support justice and public safety. Qualifications Strong knowledge and practical experience in Criminal Law, including prosecution of misdemeanor and felony cases. Familiarity with Criminal Justice systems and processes, including interaction with Law Enforcement agencies. Experience working within Courts, including courtroom advocacy, trial practice, and litigation of Legal Issues. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and current license, or eligibility for licensure, to practice law in Colorado. Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including legal research, motion practice, and trial presentation. Demonstrated commitment to ethics, fairness, and professional integrity in all aspects of legal practice. Ability to manage a high-volume caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, law enforcement, victims, and community stakeholders. #J-18808-Ljbffr
