Role Description The Construction Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Cleveland, responsible for overseeing daily field operations on assigned construction projects. This position coordinates subcontractors and site staff, manages schedules, and ensures work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. The superintendent enforces safety protocols, conducts regular site inspections, and maintains a clean, organized work environment. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring progress, tracking materials and equipment, supporting budgeting and cost control activities, and communicating status updates to project managers and stakeholders. The role also involves resolving field issues quickly, documenting project activities, and fostering a collaborative, respectful culture among all workers on site. Qualifications Construction site management skills, including coordinating subcontractors, overseeing daily field activities, and maintaining quality standards. Construction safety knowledge, with demonstrated ability to implement safety plans, conduct inspections, and comply with OSHA and local regulations. Strong organization skills to manage schedules, documentation, materials tracking, and multiple concurrent tasks on active job sites. Budgeting and project management abilities to support cost control, schedule management, and alignment with project goals and timelines. Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. Effective communication and leadership skills to guide field teams, collaborate with project managers, and interact with clients and inspectors. Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar field leadership role; experience in commercial or residential construction in the Greater Cleveland area is beneficial.
