Forklift Operator - $20/hr

Job Description

Join our team as a Forklift Operator for the 1st Shift, working from 6:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday. This role involves operating forklifts and pallet jacks to move products according to the manufacturing system, daily schedules, and associate requests. You will ensure that direct materials are available for the manufacturing and assembly of orders, manage inventory, and load/unload materials onto trucks or other designated vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Move products as dictated by the manufacturing system, daily work schedule, or associate need/request.
• Ensure direct materials are available for manufacturing and assembly of orders.
• Responsible for inventory pulls and inventory management.
• Unload and load materials onto trucks or other designated vehicles.
• Operate overhead cranes effectively.
• Practice proper rigging and lift techniques.
• Organize the Receiving Department area and assist stock pullers.

Work Environment

Work in a clean and well-lit environment. The role requires standing, walking, and using hands for handling or feeling. Employees will need to reach with hands and arms, and occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Port Clinton, OH.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
