Tech - IR/Special Procedures

Job Summary:

The IR Tech is responsible for performing interventional radiology procedures in a tertiary hospital setting. They support patient care by preparing and operating imaging equipment, assisting during procedures, and ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare patients and assist with positioning and sterilization for interventional radiology procedures.
  
  
• 
  Operate imaging and radiation equipment following safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Support physicians during a range of IR procedures, including neuro IR cases.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation using electronic health records such as Epic.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and manage radiation badges ensure compliance.
  
  
• 
  Coordinate with team members to ensure timely and efficient patient workflow.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Have at least 1 year of experience as an IR Tech.
  
  
• 
  Hold current ARRT (R) certification and BLS certification.
  
  
• 
  Possess a valid South Carolina RN license or have application pending.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in general IR procedures and neuro IR case support.
  
  
• 
  Maintain radiation safety accreditation with a provided badge.
  
  
• 
  Be able to work day shifts, Monday through Friday, and participate in on-call and weekend rotations.
