Heavy Truck Mechanic

Job Description Job Description POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy & Medium Duty Truck Mechanic to join our geotechnical construction team. This role is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a fleet of trucks and support equipment used in ground improvement and deep foundation operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. ________________________________________ KEY RESPONSIBILTIES: Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy- and medium-duty trucks (diesel and gas) Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and DOT compliance checks Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues Maintain accurate service logs and repair records Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards Assist with field repairs and occasional on-site service calls Keep shop and service trucks clean, organized, and fully stocked Communicate equipment status and repair timelines with supervisors and operations teams QUALIFICATIONS: 3+ years of experience working on heavy and/or medium-duty trucks Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems Ability to read and interpret diagnostic codes and service manuals Experience with DOT inspections and compliance preferred Valid driver’s license (CDL is a bonus) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail WORK ENVIRONMENT: Shop based with occasional field service work Exposure to outdoor conditions and construction job sites Fast paced environment supporting active construction operations COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Competitive hourly pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Company 100% paid Health and Dental insurance 401(k) with yearly company contribution Paid Time off and 9 Paid Holiday ESOP - Employee Stock Ownership Program WHY JOIN US?
