Our client, a leader in logistics and supply chain management, is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Clerk to join their team. As a Quality Control Clerk, you will be an essential part of the warehouse operations supporting the quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Kansas City, MO

Pay Range: $18.50

Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm + occ. OT

What's the Job?

• Inspect inbound shipments for damage, defects, or missing items to ensure quality standards are met.
• Verify outbound orders against pick lists and invoices to maintain packing and shipping accuracy.
• Document discrepancies by recording non-conformances, logging error rates, and completing inspection reports.
• Coordinate rework or returns by flagging defective merchandise, removing it from inventory, and routing it for return or repair.
• Maintain compliance with safety guidelines, storage protocols, and quality assurance workflows to ensure a safe working environment.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or quality control setting.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy packages (often up to 5075 lbs) for extended periods.
• Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail to identify minor defects and data errors.
• Familiarity with inventory management software, handheld scanners, and basic math for measurement.
