Location - Malden
Job PurposeNational Grid is seeking Pipe Handlers in the Malden area. We are a major electricity and gas delivery company with one of the largest electricity transmission and distribution systems in the Northeast.
Key Accountabilities- As a Pipe Handler you will perform a variety of tasks including, but not limited to:
- Perform manual labor, including hand excavation, backfilling, handling of pipe, fittings, and materials and does other laboring work as required.
- Operate paving breaker and rock drills and assist in operating tapping and stoppering equipment, heating and joining equipment for plastic pipe, and other equipment so assigned.
- Successfully complete training of higher classification duties and obtain proper licenses
- Must have a high school education or the equivalent.
- Must have good mechanical aptitude and ability, high degree of dependability, and capable of exercising good judgment.
- Must pass Company physical and qualifying tests.
- Must have Massachusetts Drivers License and be in good physical condition.
