Title: Diagnostic Medical Sonography Adjunct Instructor Agency: Rappahannock Community College Location: Gloucester - 073 FLSA: Exempt Hiring Range: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Full Time or Part Time: Part Time Job Description RCC seeks applicants for Diagnostic Medical Specialist (DMS) Adjunct Instructor positions. This position is part-time and reports to the DMS Program Head and the Dean of Health Sciences. Adjunct faculty may teach a maximum of the equivalent of 10 workload credits in fall and spring semesters and eight workload credits in the summer term. Teaching assignments are negotiated with the Dean of Health Sciences to include campus location, hours of instruction, and teaching load. Day, evening and weekend teaching options may be available to accommodate the faculty’s schedule. Minimum Qualifications Appropriate credentials specific to Adult Cardiac Sonography This position requires current unencumbered RDCS certification and 3 years of documented professional experience as a cardiac sonographer Candidates should possess sufficient technology skills to work productively in an organization that utilizes significant information and instructional technology resources Demonstrated expertise in oral and written communication with students and peers, including formal report writing is expected. Additional Considerations Bachelor’s degree in related field A thorough knowledge of certification through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation with teaching experience at the community college level preferred Satisfactory references, a negative criminal background check, and a negative drug screening test are conditions of employment. #J-18808-Ljbffr Commonwealth of VA Careers
