We want to be a place where you can experience career growth and satisfaction for many years. **Here’s what else you’ll enjoy as part of our team:** • Competitive total compensation package including medical, dental, orthodontia, vision, FSA/HSA, generous PTO accrual, 10 paid holidays, 401(k) retirement account with company matching program, company paid life insurance, short & long term disability insurance, and employee assistance program. • Full-time, permanent role with opportunities for professional growth and advancement**Required Qualifications**· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering· Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Nevada, or the ability to obtain within 6 months· 8+ years of experience· Working knowledge of Engineering software including, but not limited to:* Civil Design & Grading (Civil 3D)· Depending on area of specialization, specialty software to include:* Hydrology & Hydraulics (HEC HMS, HEC RAS); or* Geotechnical Design (GeoStudio, Rocscience)· Possess valid driver's license· Willing to travel by car and airplane, including travel for domestic projects**Preferred Qualifications**· M.Sc. preferred· Willing to travel for international projects**Personal Attributes and Traits**· Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities· Ability to learn new engineering topics and software quickly· Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a team environment· Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills· Excellent time management skills· Needs little oversight, can be a self-starter· Thinks and plans ahead· Willingly accepts assigned tasks (“can-do / will-do”) with initiative to take on more**Key Responsibilities**· Lead and take professional ownership of projects in a technical capacity· Perform engineering work for industrial and mining projects· Visit project sites for the purpose of data collection and monitoring, performing investigations and / or performing construction inspection services· Utilize a variety of computer programs including AutoCAD Civil 3D software and software noted above to undertake designs and computations· Write memos and calculation packages to document work performed**Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) are at the core of who we are and want to be.** SLR is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer.
