VitalEyes is looking for a qualified licensed optician or optician apprentice to complement our full-service optometric practice.
Duties:
- Frame styling taking into consideration the patient's prescription and visual requirements
- Taking necessary measurements for eyeglass orders including, but not limited to, pupillary distance and optical centers
- Recommending specific lenses, lens coatings, and frames to suit client needs
- Adjusting and repairing eyewear
- Contact Lens Insertion and Removal training classes
- Neutralizing patients' eyeglass prescriptions and verifying received orders
- Answering phone calls, emails, texts
- Verifying vision and medical benefits
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in Optical Field
- Experience working in customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ABO/NCLE certification beneficial but not necessary
