Special Ed Teacher - Roscommon, Michigan

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of 3rd to 6th grade students as a Special Education Teacher during the upcoming 26/27 school year. You'll work closely with a small, center-based caseload of approximately 10 students, ensuring each learner receives tailored instruction and support. The assignment runs from August 24 through June 11, offering the consistency of a school-year schedule and a 35-hour workweek.


Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience in school-based settings, preferably with 3rd to 6th grade students
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Patience, creativity, and dedication to meeting diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and safe learning atmosphere

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized instruction tailored to each student's abilities and needs
• Create and implement IEPs in coordination with a multidisciplinary team
• Adapt curriculum materials to support differentiated learning
• Monitor and document progress, providing regular updates to families and staff
• Foster a positive classroom environment where every student feels valued
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and paraprofessionals
