Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2270 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Special Requests: We attempt to accommodate block scheduling if possible, but the every other weekend requirement must still be met.

Unit Details: Ratios: Day shift 1:4-6; night shift 1:5-6. Telemetry patients are monitored by a central monitor tech; strip visualization is available on the floor. Common drips include Lasix and Heparin. No vents on the unit; may care for BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow patients. No IV team. Common diagnoses/patient types include COPD, sepsis, CVA, COVID, pneumonia, and post-surgical patients including hips, knees, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and bowel resections.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend required. No call requirement. May be required to work every other holiday, depending on schedule.

Floating Requirements: May float to another floor if competent to do so. When floating, will take a full patient assignment.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
