Travel RN - ICUAmerican TravelerShakopee, Minnesota, United StatesPosition ID: P-774396Position status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: NightsLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1Start date: 2026-11-09T00:00:00.000Z$2,203.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Level 3 trauma hospital, requiring a Minnesota RN license, ACLS/BLS certification, and extensive critical care skills including hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.DetailsWork in the ICU of an acute care hospital, which also functions as an SCU/ED float roleAverage daily census of 5 patients across 8 rooms and 10 bedsNight shift schedule, 3x12 hours (1900-0730)Required to work up to every other weekendMay be placed on-call as needed for the departmentWill float to other units as needed, specifically the ED, or to affiliate hospitals nearbyUses Epic (Excellian) for chartingScrub color is navyRequirementsActive or pending Minnesota RN license requiredCurrent ACLS and BLS certification required; CCRN preferredMinimum 1 year of recent critical care experience requiredExperience with cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and obtaining 12-lead EKGs requiredExperience managing multi-system organ failure requiredExperience with thermoregulation (hypothermia/hyperthermia) requiredIV insulin protocol experience requiredGI surgery experience requiredExperience with chronic/acute renal failure requiredIV therapy skills required, including accessing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and starting IVsMedication administration experience required, including continuous IV paralytics, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, and titrating cardiac and vasoactive dripsNeurological case experience required, including CVA/stroke management, EVDs, ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, post neurosurgery management, spinal cord injury, and TBI careRespiratory/thoracic experience required, including BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, HFNC, ABG interpretation, suctioning, and ventilator managementExperience with infection precautions, isolation precautions/PPE, phlebotomy, and surgical wounds with drains/wound vac requiredCVVHD/CRRT experience preferredPulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, sheath removal, valve repair/replacement, and VAD experience preferredEpic/Excellian charting experience preferred1 supervisor reference required for considerationAdditional InformationFacility is a Level 3 trauma acute care hospital with 63 total staffed bedsCandidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility for considerationFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyReturning staff must have been gone at least 3 months from their last shift worked as perm staff or per diemRTO should ideally be no more than 5 daysFree parking available in any unrestricted spaceCandidates may float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
