Wafer Manufacturing Process Technician - Night Shift (Sun-Tue & alternating Sat., 7pm-7:30am)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process Technicians function as the primary interface between the manufacturing, maintenance, and process and equipment engineering teams to ensure the consistent production of high-quality wafers. Process Technicians are responsible for monitoring the performance of tooling used in the manufacturing process and for helping to identify processing issues affecting output or product quality. Process Technicians are also responsible for the cycle time within their area and must resolve any WIP that is delayed or on hold. In addition, Process Technicians are often directly involved in the resolution of tooling or processing issues and may recommend, document and implement changes at the direction of the appropriate engineering group. Process Technicians also play a vital role in the training and certification of lower-level operators. Qualifications Preferred: Knowledge and familiarity of semiconductor wafer manufacturing processes (thin film deposition, ion mill, reactive ionetch, electroplating, photolithography, metrology, sputter etch, sputter deposition) and logistics Knowledge of Statistical Process Control systems, applications and rules Knowledge of MESA or similar Shop floor Control Systems Able to extract, summarize, interpret and present process data Able to apply process data to decision making Knowledge and familiarity of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing Principles and DMAIC processes Proficiency or experience with SQL or similar query languages Proficiency or experience with VBA, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with Project Management applications Leadership qualities and experience History of problem solving; able to drive problems to resolution Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Bachelor of Science in one of the following: Engineering Industrial Engineering Materials Engineering Chemical Engineering Data Analysis or Statistics Chemistry or Physics Salary Range Salary Range: $48,600.00-64,800.00 Benefits Paid vacation time; paid sick leave; medical/dental/vision insurance; life, accident and disability insurance; tax‑advantaged flexible spending and health savings accounts; employee assistance program; other voluntary benefits such as supplemental life and AD&D, legal plan, pet insurance, critical illness, accident and hospital indemnity; tuition reimbursement; transit; the Applause Program; employee stock purchase plan; and the WD Savings 401(k) Plan.
