A 515-bed hospital in Pensacola is seeking a Physical Therapist to join its rehabilitation services team. This facility is nationally recognized for multiple specialty designations, including an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, Florida’s first Atrial Fibrillation with Electrophysiology Services Accreditation, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, and the region’s only CARF-accredited comprehensive physical rehabilitation hospital.

This role involves delivering skilled physical therapy services across the continuum of care, with a focus on evaluating patient function, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing interventions that support recovery and improved mobility. Care is provided in alignment with the physician’s plan of care and within professional and legal practice standards.

The Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing therapeutic and functional status, performing evidence-based interventions, and monitoring patient progress to adjust treatment approaches as needed. A key part of the role includes educating patients, families, and caregivers on exercises, assistive devices, prosthetics, and therapeutic techniques intended for continued use outside of therapy sessions.

This position also requires strong organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively, coordinate daily staffing needs, and ensure appropriate assignment and handoff processes across the care team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required

• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire

• Full-time
