Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a critical access hospital, requiring at least 1 year of experience and Washington state licensure.

Details

• Critical access hospital setting with no trauma designation and 25 staffed beds
• Teaching hospital environment
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Block scheduling required
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• No floating between units required
• No on-call requirements
• Epic charting system used
• Scrubs of any color permitted
• No parking fees

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required, with family maternity and OB experience needed
• Epic charting experience required
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
• Washington state license required if applicable
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Experience with adult critical care and emergency department settings
• Skilled in medication delivery systems including aerosol setups, MDIs, and nebulizers
• Proficient in ventilator management including CPAP, BiPAP, SIMV, and troubleshooting alarms
• Experience with airway management including intubation assist, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Skilled in drawing and interpreting arterial blood gases
• Neonatal/pediatric equipment experience such as CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BIPAP and intubation assist preferred
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• First-time travelers considered

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care across adult critical care and emergency department settings
• Administer medications and manage ventilator support for patients with various respiratory conditions
• Support neonatal and pediatric patients with specialized equipment and procedures as needed
• Perform pulmonary function testing and related diagnostic procedures
• Participate in chest physiotherapy and airway management interventions
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or per-diem roles
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former Providence permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities as needed
