WCS Healthcare is currently seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a highly respected hospital within the respected hospital in Boston, Ma. This role is ideal for an OR nurse who thrives in a fast-paced Level I Trauma surgical environment and is committed to delivering safe, high-quality perioperative care.

Job Function:

• Shift: 3x12 Nights
• Document all patient care accurately, completely, and promptly in the facility EMR
• Prepare the operating room for procedures and assist with room turnover
• Assist with patient positioning and ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure
• Handle and label specimens according to policy
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection-control standards
• Identify and initiate corrective actions when necessary
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure efficient workflow
• Scrub and/or circulate across a wide range of surgical specialties including general, robotics, transplants, orthopedic trauma, neuro, spine, ENT (head & neck), GYN, urology, and organ procurement
• Provide support in a 10-room OR specializing in inpatient Level I Trauma cases including bariatric, neurosurgery, orthopedic trauma, spine, robotic procedures, and kidney/liver transplants

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Current RN license for the state of practice
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care OR experience
• Required experience must include: kidney transplant, trauma, neuro, spine, orthopedic trauma, and robotics
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• Flu vaccine required prior to acceptance
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
