Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with a minimum of 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience for a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center.

Details

• High-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center with complex and high-volume cases
• Works across the ED, inpatient, and portable OR settings
• Must be willing to work with pediatric and neonatal patients
• EMR: Epic and Sectra (experience preferred)
• Equipment: GE, Philips, and CareStream
• Assigned to a department daily but expected to float within the facility as needed
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or 2–3 years at a large-bed Level 2 trauma facility
• Experience in high-volume, high-acuity hospital environments with diverse and severe cases
• Graduation from a JRCERT/ARRT-approved program required
• Current ARRT certification and BLS required
• Proficiency operating radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment
• Ability to evaluate images for technical quality
• Active state license if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs radiologic and fluoroscopic imaging across ED, inpatient, and portable OR settings
• Will work alongside students and is expected to perform competency check-offs for radiology students
• Mask fit testing is required prior to starting
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
