Cart Collector (PT)

Bring your energy, teamwork, and customer-focused attitude to Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace ! We’re looking for a Cart Collector to keep our parking lot and store environment safe, clean, and welcoming for every customer.

In this role, you’ll ensure shopping carts are available and in good condition, perform light cleaning duties, assist with minor maintenance tasks, and help keep the store running smoothly. This is a fast-paced, active role that makes a big impact on the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve, organize, and maintain shopping carts throughout the parking lot and store entrances
• Conduct routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and light sanitizing of floors and surfaces
• Perform minor maintenance or quick tasks such as transporting items and restocking supplies
• Observe surroundings to maintain safety and report hazards or maintenance needs
• Occasionally interact with customers in a friendly, courteous manner
• Assist other store team members as needed

Skills & Qualifications

• Friendly, customer-service oriented attitude
• Self-starter who can take initiative and work independently
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to speak, read, and communicate in English
• Physical stamina to be on feet for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying objects

Working Conditions

• Continuous movement on hard surfaces; frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting (up to 30 lbs, heavier with assistance)
• Indoor and outdoor work environments with exposure to temperature changes, refrigeration/freezers, and occasional noise
• Occasional exposure to cleaning agents, sharp objects, and commercial equipment
