Project Leader Energy Solutions

Imagine walking through an industrial park where around 50 entrepreneurs are concerned about network congestion. Their question to you is simple: "How can we continue to operate in the next 5 to 10 years?" You are the one who helps them. Not necessarily by building one big hub as a solution, but by developing smart solutions behind the meter. You speak the language of entrepreneurs, understand technology, and know how to connect interests. This is how you make the energy transition concrete, today, so that entrepreneurs do not have to worry about tomorrow. Network congestion is one of the biggest challenges for companies in the sustainability task. There is no standard solution, collective solutions for individual problems are crucial. At Stantec, we combine technology, spatial integration, collaboration, and financial insight to come up with smart solutions. As a project leader for energy solutions, you are the link between entrepreneurs, governments, and grid operators to make industrial parks future-proof. With your technical insight, you provide expert advice on the implementation of sustainable solutions in industrial parks. Think about advising industrial parks on the optimal location for an energy hub to reduce network congestion. What will you do? Provide technically informed advice: You speak the language of entrepreneurs and understand their challenges. Develop solutions behind the meter for congestion problems. Stakeholder management, you connect entrepreneurs, governments, and grid operators and guide them towards common goals. Process management, you facilitate trajectories without being directive, but with a focus on collaboration. Use consultancy skills, combining communication, financial, and technical insights. Experience or affinity with area development (industrial parks or housing construction) is a big plus.

Qualifications: What are we looking for? A completed wo- or hbo-education in a technical direction such as mechanical engineering, technical business administration, energy technology Minimum 2 years of experience in the field of energy and technology, preferably in sustainability or network congestion. Demonstrable experience with stakeholder management. You can work project-based. This means you are able to switch between multiple roles and projects. With your strong communication skills and assertiveness, you are seen by the client and colleagues as a reliable partner. You are self-starting, resourceful, not easily fooled, and able to train and guide colleagues to achieve results.
